Once in a Moon

Your face reminds me
of a large full moon
on a dark cloudless night,
beaming down at the
deep, tenebrous, rumbling sea
whose fluid hips swirl,
dancing seamlessly around
the shimmering stars and
keeping rhythm to the
unvoiced song swimming
through the waves
in my head.

I saw the moon the other night and shivered at it's cold stare.

The sea is getting pretty old, I'm glad to hear she still has fluid hips and doesn't need one of those hip replacements like so many her age ;)

Lovely poem...

Whoa! Some really stunning word choices in this. Or did they choose you??

Paris Parfait, Thank you.

VE, The sea keeps her hips well lubricated. Good thing too.

Jannie, The words always choose me. They come flying at me, sometimes at great speed, and hit me like a brick.
