I live in the...or one of the most beautiful places on earth. But alas, I am a nomad at heart. These are my adventures.

The Aftermath
I feel like I'm taking a real hiatus from my blog this month. Life is a chaotic frenzy and I'm convinced that they no longer make days with the same number of hours as they once did. Like everything else, they're cheaping out in that department. I did take time on Saturday, however, to throw on my Fluevogs and a feather boa. Hey, if a girl can't wear a boa on Valentine's day, when can she? And then I went to check out Hugfest. It was definitely a feel good, pay it forward sort of event. I'm not bragging or anything, but I certainly got my share. Perhaps it's not "the magic bullet" that will solve all the world's problems, but there certainly weren't any grumpy people lurking about and smiles and laughter seemed to abound. So go ahead, find someone and give him or her a hug. Bonus points if you don't know the person. You might just make somebody's day.

True and right words again,Carla!Yes, our life is hectical and sometimes chaotic.
It sounds you had a nice Valentines Day.
Have a nice day!
Hugfest, what a great concept for Valentine's day. Everyone hugs each other. I hope this becomes a world trend.
H'lo Nomad. Welcome back. I know what you mean about not enough hours in a day. February is the month short in that department. The world is most definitely cheaping out on hugs too. I think I'll take your advice on hugging a stranger today...but if I get slapped, then you owe me a hug. :)
Hugfest is a great idea and a step in the right direction! Thanks for sharing!
HUGs!
Steffi, It was lovely. I hope yours was good too.
We're Doomed, I do too. So good for the soul.
Fool, I guess my advice would be to ask first. Hope you found someone to hug.
Mark, I think Hugfest should happen once a week.
Hugfests should not be just a Valentine's day thing. They should be at least once a month. But I suppose we could make them as often as we like...for ourselves.
Actually, a few months ago, a guy stood out here on the sidewalk, offering free hugs to passersby. I'm not sure how many people stopped, but the idea was good.
Past First, I agree completely. Good idea, should be done often.
Permission asked...permission granted. Ain't life grand?
Kirra gives me lots of hugs - and I in return.
Does that count?
Never heard of Hugfest. I like hugs. It does make you feel loved or at least accepted.
I sure agree with you about the hours in the day. I am sure it is an age related thing. It seems time goes so much faster every year. I can't imagine how fast it will be when I am a senior citizen. I think I need a hug ;-).
I am so with you on that one! Or it's my age? Hugs!
Fool, It certainly is. I'm smiling for you.
Peter, Of course it does. May many more come your way.
Sirdar, It really does. It's a good feeling. Quite healing I'm convinced.
Dawn, I just don't know what to make of it. I think we just try to push too much into our days.
Fida, Big hug back. I hope seeing you here means that you're blogging again?
Chaos and life - I am familiar with - alas it is the clock ticking - which I find disturbing.
Your delightful photos enhance beautifully with your posts.
