Hi Fool, I just realized that I forgot to add tags to this post. How forgetful of me. Actually, the photo was taken at the Sun Yet Sen Chinese gardens in Vancouver.
Like we used to say in the seventies, "you got that sh*t right". The seventies were a poetic time. I think we can all make a difference in what happens in our world now and in the future. The paradox is this: What is right to do? What we think or know or do today may have very negative/bad effects in the future.
Annie, Yes, it never hurts to think a bit before acting, does it?
Doomed, So true,I've thought that many times myself. But the thing is, that there are things that we do do that we know have or will have negative consequences. Those are the things we should be more mindful of. Unfortunately profit causes many to ignore the voice of conscience.
So, so true....Carla can I quote you this? (with a linkback of course) I think this message is worth repeating, probably even moreso in these trying times.

Very nice, Nomad. So true, too. Was the photo taken in China?

Absolutely. A gull flaps his wings in Virginia Beach and it rains in Seattle. :)
Gorgeous picture!

If only more of us could hear those ripples, maybe we would think a little more before acting on our impulses.
Best wishes, Carla.

Chani, Glad you like the picture and I love the analogy.

Well said.
We all hope our ripples are big when we do well and small when we do wrong.

Burdock Boy, That's a lovely thought, the best we can hope for.
Rowena, I would be honoured if you quoted this. By all means, please go ahead.
So beautiful. So touching. So true. Thank you so much for sharing that with us.
I wish everyone knew this phrase. It would sure save a lot of heart ache, even 30 years later....
BTW-the fish, so calming!
Ilse Dance, You're most welcome. Anytime.
Envoy-ette, It was almost memorizing watching those fish swim about. Yes, a little thinking before acting would be good.
True, and most of the time we are completely blind to the effect we have on others and the world around.
Dawn, It's funny how most of us think that the world revolves around us. It takes a long time to lose that and some of us never do.
Nice picture!I like it!
Thanks Steffi.
