The title of the post is "Deceleration" and from that perspective I appreciate the quote, taking men in a gender neutral "mankind" sense. Beyond that, I must agree with the fool that I, as a man (gender specific) could quickly find myself in deep, murky water by taking the bait. That said...SPLASH!!!!...if I succeed in my pursuit, I linger... Randy
Fool, You're far too quick to get caught in a trap but I had a feeling that you would enjoy the metaphor. And I am quite certain that you would be the sort to take the time to enjoy the "pleasures" life has to offer. It's great to not be driven by time...isn't it?
Randy, I think the quote is something that we all could apply to many areas of our lives. I believe that (talking men and women here) many of us have gotten so used to being pressured by "speed" in which "things" need to happen that we forget to actually live. I think many of us need to get back to the basics and that starts with having a life.
Hi Tara, In this age of speed it certainly seems that we rarely take the time needed to slow down and truly enjoy ourselves. Wishing you a slow relaxed Valentine's day with the one you love.
