Good Things

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you are looking at four litres / one gallon of raw, unadulterated farm fresh milk. This morning I made myself the best fruit smoothie I have ever had in my life. I think I will make yogurt next. I am in heaven.

Is the milk from your farm?
I had beans, marrows and potatoes from my gardenfor dinner today.

Jamara, I actually don't have a farm. A nice little garden though. I've been enjoying tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, raspberries and I see I have a zucchini that is growing fast. The milk comes from a farm up the valley. I think it's good to connect with the local farmers and support them where possible. It sounds like you're getting some good veggies from your garden. I wish I had planted potatoes.

Yogurt is a great idea Carla. Add some fresh berries and you will have a feast fit for a queen.

that is what I remember growing up -- and I hated it. Now I understand that I am lactose intolerant.

I loved our old Guernsey Cow, though. She was the best.

Wow you've done 2x better than what I normally pick up from the milk distributors! I'm looking at those 4 liters and in my mind, the sound of the gelato machine is calling my name.

We're doomed, Yogurt is fabulous.

Pamela, If you're lactose intolerant, this wouldn't be nice to look at at all.

Rowena, I've been busy. Made ricotta cheese, made yogurt, and ice cream. I'm all set.

Oh, I'm so jealous. I look at my milk carton and wonder what palmitate is...

Reichi, Thanks for dropping by. Let me know if you open up your blog again. Enjoy your summer.

Pandave, Palmitate? Never heard of it. We do have that added to our cartoned milk. Crazy.

So familiar looking to me. We get two of those a week from the sister's cow. Love it.
