The Twist

He found me shattered and broken.
Carefully he took my fragile heart,
then without warning, dropped it.

That's good. Nice twists (there's more than one...the first is in moving from the photo to the expectation of words). Very powerful, and too often - too true. Kudos.

Bleeding leaves, darkness all around. It fits your words so well.
Despite the sadness, the photo is beautiful. Tell me, where is he? I am in fighting mode today :-)

Hi Steffi, Thanks. It's really beautiful around here at this time of year.

Fool, Thanks. You're too kind. Nothing like a few good surprises in life, eh?

You're wonderful with words, my dear friend.

Hope you haven't got a broken heart anotherwise 'he' better start looking over his shoulder for your online friends because we are everywhere...lol

Best wishes, my dear friend, ((hug))

Annie

So moving. I know all too well how that feels... but I wouldn't have been able to put it so poetically.

Carla said...

Pamela, Perhaps it was, I'm hard to hold on to.

Jeanine, Nonsense! You are very poetic. Often I wish I could write as eloquently as you.

Oh yeah Carla, I did go to the park this weekend and walked around for a couple of hours. The boyf, who's a photographer stopped to take pictures at one point. And it turned out that several folk wanted to do the same. A woman came by and asked me - what is everyone looking at? I said - The trees.

Such a funny moment. You'd think we were looking at a rare bird. But we were just loving nature.

Pandave, That's so funny. At least the woman realized that she was missing out on something.
